OverviewThe BLT Portal (www.bltportal.com) was established in 2006 through the collaboration of five founder law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, Linklaters and Simmons & Simmons working alongside nine investment banks to establish a collaborative platform for the publishing of legal know-how. The site now hosts content from 7 leading international law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, Linklaters, Norton Rose, CMS Cameron McKenna and Simmons & Simmons that is accessed by 34 global financial institutions including Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital, HSBC, Nomura, UBS, RBS, etc, and also 10 global corporates including Vodafone, Axa, Shell, BT, British Gas etc. Other law firms in the process of joining include White & Case, Herbert Smith, Denton Wilde Sapte, Brodies and Wragge & Co. The BLT Portal contains the very best of focused legal know-how designed specifically to appeal to multi-disciplinary in-house banking lawyers. The wealth of legal knowledge available includes articles, checklists, guides, case summaries and updates. All material on site is fully searchable and, for ease of browsing, filed in distinct categories ranging from Accounting & Taxation to the Regulation of Financial Services. The BLT Portal is open to other institutions and law firms and, it is hoped, will become an industry standard for the provision of legal know-how. |
