The search utility within the Portal leverages the market leading Verity Ultraseek search engine. Search results are sorted by
relevance based on patented algorithms to ensure that your results are accurate and relevant. Search results can be sorted by
any metadata that is available within the system e.g. publish date, author, name etc.

Summary descriptions of results are given, with the search words highlighted. The search engine ensures that user's can only
search information that they have been given access to.
|
|
|
Search incorporates wildcard searches, all of the word searches, any of the words searches and exact phrase searches. The
search engine will also allow Boolean operators for more complex and refined searches.
|
|
|
DraftSpace Portal also includes an Advanced Search module that allows users to refine their search even further (search by
category, author, publish date range, document type etc).

| Taxonomy |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal allows you to define your exact taxonomy and change the taxonomy at any point in time. The system gives
you complete control of who sees what categories in the taxonomy
|

| ASP Framework |
|
|
The heart of DraftSpace Portal is the solid ASP FrameWork, which provides global control and department control via
tiered system administration modules, allowing full control over users, permissions, content and access.
|

As well as a global system administrator, DraftSpace Portal allows you to create administrator accounts for user
groups/departments allowing for control at a more granular level. This flexibility allows for better control of the
overall application and management of business assets in an efficient manner.

| User Access and Permissioning |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal has a very flexible permissioning model that can be tailored to your exact requirements. The system
gives you the flexibility to determine the types of permission as well as who can set them. Administrators can choose
who can see which particular topics and the access thay have to the intellectual assets within each topic (i.e. no access,
read only access, edit access). Access can be controlled at the individual level or department level by the global administrator
and at an individual level by the department administrator (optional).

| Audit Reports |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal creates a log of every action that is performed by every user within the system.
|
|
|
DraftSpace Portal allows you to generate a complete audit report on a user level, document level, topic level or organisation level.
|
|
|
The user level report allows you to view all actions performed by specific users within a specified time frame. e.g. who has
uploaded/downloaded which documents, who has deleted documents, how often they logged in etc.
|
|
|
The organisation level report allows you to view the actions performed by users within a specific organisation or department
e.g. which documents they have uploaded/downloaded, new users they have invited to the Portal, how often they have logged in etc
|
|
|
The document level report allows you to trace the history of a particular document from the point that is was uploaded in the
Portal to who has subsequently accessed the document.
|
|
|
The topic level report allows you to trace the history of a topic within the Portal and all of the documents and other
intellectual assets that were added to or removed from it.
|
|
|
The worth of knowing which specific users are accessing which intellectual assets from your knowledge base provides meaningful
insight into the popular areas of interest at any given time and allows you to gear marketing efforts and corporate strategy accordingly.

| Extendibility |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal can be extended to include additional collaboration modules if required. Discussion forums, task management,
online calendar, private intranets/extranets, project collaboration, web content management system and polling module are all
available and can be integrated into your Portal with ease.

| Branding |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal provides a module that allows you to select your corporate logo and style sheet to ensure consistent branding
with your corporate image. There are facilities within that system that will allow each department to choose their own branding if required.

|
| Newsletters |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal allows you to send monthly/weekly HTML newsletters to your user base containing new information that has been
uploaded to the Portal. The newsletters can be configured to include all new updates since the last newsletter or you can define a
specific time period. We even log all documents that are accessed from the newsletters so you can run a report on which users accessed
which documents from the newsletter. These newsletters are generated using the server resource from our data center so you do not even
have to worry about bulk email time out errors.

| Subscriptions |
|
|
Users are able to subscribe to specific topics that are of particular interest to them and see a list of all of the latest updates to
that topic from the home page. Users can define the time period within which they would like latest updates i.e. last day, week, fortnight, month.

| Other Features |

The home page stores a personal record for each user, including:
- Bookemarked documents
- Saved searches
- Most recently accessed documents
- Recent updates to subscribed topics
|
|
| Integration with External Feeds |
|
|
DraftSpace Portal can be configured to take automatic feeds from external data sources/ websites as frequently as required by you.
These feeds can be run in real time or using overnight batch runs to ensure that all information in your portal is up to date.
